communities
The ManKind Project. I participated in the weekend retreat in 2008 (it’s Domenico writing this) and have been an active member in men’s circles ever since. This community has helped me define what masculinity means for me. I have met and worked with interesting men in South Africa, France, Italy, Germany, the US and the UK. It is a great way to lead a conscious life.
Women Within. For obvious reasons, I have no direct experience
with this community (still Domenico writing this) other than it is a sister community to the ManKind Project and my wife participated in their weekend retreat.
I am a fan of any such community that promotes emotional well being, a conscious approach to life and aims to make a positive impact on the world.
books
We both love to read. Here are some of our favourite books.
Domenico’s list:
You are a badass – Jen Sincero (the writing style is funny, but motivational)
The Power of Habit – Charles Duhigg (fascinating…)
The Myth of Male Power – Warren Farrel (I read this in my twenties and it is still in my top 3)
Sarah’s list:
Women who run with wolves – Clarissa Pinkola Estés (just because)
You just dont understand – Deborah Tannen (language use by gender)
Unconscious bias – Phil L. Claybrooke and Harvey Phelps
websites and stuff
Our website of course! www.DecideToShift.com

I love this video, that a dear friend of mine posted (listen closely to what she says 4 minutes in):
Other interesting speakers include:

Tom Bilyeau,
Alison Armstrong
to name just a few.
